Privacy International Hosts BBC Documentary.
PI Director Simon Davies hosted a prime-time television documentary on
BBC2 on Monday February 7, 2001. "The
Death of Privacy" explored a range of surveillance techniques,
including Automatic Face Recognition, communications interception and
database matching. The program also describes attempts to establish an
UK national DNA database supplied with samples from traffic offenders
and illegal protesters. Davies also spends time offering some subversive
techniques to undermine privacy invasion. A BBC2
